  • "The Girl and the Glim grabbed me right from the start with its expressive characters, beautiful colours and engaging storytelling. It seamlessly flows from very real-life woes to the supernatural without skipping a beat. It's like Raina Telgemeier's Smile meets Studio Ghibli and I'm HERE for it."

    — Tara O’Connor, author/artist of Fly by Night

  • "Very rarely we get to see a young author's opera prima of the artistic magnitude this one book you have here in front of you is offering. India's extensive set of storytelling and visual skills just explodes in each page of this story full of heart and emotion, beautifully colored to perfection by a visionary Michael Doig; a match made in heaven, a book to remember forever. Follow the Glim!"

    — Matías Bergara, artist of Coda and Step By Bloody Step

  • "Swift's stylized, warm figure designs are in compelling contrast to the creepy Glums, and her action sequences are well-paced and cinematically rendered in dynamic splash pages and clearly choreographed fight scenes... Engrossing and entertaining."

    — Booklist, Starred Review

  • Exquisitely drawn and packed with effervescent charm, The Girl and the Glim is as good as comics get. I fail to see how it couldn't win over readers of any age."

    — John Allison, author of Giant Days and author/artist of Bad Machinery

  • "Brimming with both character and imagination."

    — Declan Shalvey, artist of Moon Knight, Venom and Old Dog

  • "Bullying and the pressure to get good grades are central themes in The Girl and the Glim, a fantasy adventure that’s ripe for Pixar-style animation treatment."
